Round 3 Back On at Roxy ASP Women's World Longboard
Championships
BIARRITZ, France (Sunday, July 13, 2008) Grey clouds and rains
will be today's setting for all remaining competitors of the
Roxy ASP Women's World Longboard Championships, but contestable
two foot (0.5 meter) waves are breaking at La Cote des Basques
and Round 3 and 4 are scheduled for the day.
Six heats were done yesterday afternoon and Crystal Dzigas
(HAW), ASP Women's World Tour No. 5 in 2007, was eliminated by
Rachel Barry (USA) for the biggest update thus far. Some
exciting heats will soon take place in the messy ocean and
reigning ASP Women's World Longboard Champion Jennifer Smith
(USA) will paddle out this morning.
With the ASP Grade-2 Roxy Pro Junior starting tomorrow and 27
heats remaining in the longboard event, lots of action is
expected from the South West coast of France where the world's
best female longboarders are competing for the prestigious
crown.
