Dive And Fish - updated 12/12/2007
I usually fish out of Sebastian Inlet, but since moving to my new home in the Magic Kingdom (tower 3 with the big birthday candle) I have been forced to change horizons when I want to, well, chase the horizon. So now when I am in school and get the opportunity to go out of Port Canaveral with some buddies, I will usually jump at the opportunity.
I got this chance last Friday. Plan was& ...

Sunshine State Sparks Sailfish - updated 11/27/2007
'Tis the season to be singing carols, lighting candles, opening presents and trolling for sailfish off Florida's east coast.
Winter traditionally has been acknowledged as prime sailfish season for the Sunshine State, thanks to a large migration that head south with the birds every year. Cooling water temperatures and a frigid northeasterly flow drive the population of "spindlebeaks" ...

Goin' Off - updated 11/19/2007
Got to do some fishin this weekend down at the inlet. With the cold blasts we've been getting the bait is moving around and the fish are absolutely chewin.

We made the mile or so paddle across the lagoon to a spot my friend frequents. With the canoe we borrowed from Whitey's we headed to ...

Wind Brings Fin - updated 10/29/2007
Well, surfs up! With six footers rollin in as I type this and double those heights expected for the coming week, we are certainly in for some killer fishing when this all clears through. Cooler temperatures and sudden weeklong bursts of wind trigger migrating fish to get moving because winter is on the way. In the coming month the baitfish will be making their final spree down the coast and every ...

A Busy Weekend - updated 10/24/2007
Those cooler temps this past weekend sure had the fish chewin'. Friday night at the inlet was pretty spectacular--if you could find a spot to fish! On the evening outgoing tide almost every angler on the tip of the north jetty was hooked up with a redfish. They were going absolutely ballistic! Anyone who tossed a live mullet out into the current would have a red on as soon as the bait came ...
